Okay, random things from my life in the past 3 weeks:

* Most importantly I received my exam results. I didn't do too badly, a couple of not so great grades, and a couple very good grades. Including an A for Film, so I'm insanely happy about that! And I've talked to my tutors, and am retaking parts of 2 of the exams in January to help push my grades up. And my French teacher especially has a lot of confidence in me which is just lovely. However, I'm not going to have much free time next year, it's going to be incredibly hard work.

* I have a tendency to bury my head in the sand, which I hope I've changed a little in the past week. I had a medical problem that I'd kind of ignored for months, so on Tuesday I finally got that sorted. And I got back in contact with an old friend, who I thought disliked me, and found out she felt exactly as I did, that I didn't like her. It's been a long time, and I'm sure that we've both changed, so it will be slow - like getting to know each other again - but I'm very glad that I did, because it made me realise how much I missed her.

* My holiday was okay, better in many ways than I thought it would be. I'm not fond of Blackpool at all, but I had a fun time with my mum and sister, and catching up with my relatives was nice.

*Dogville was on FilmFour last night, and it bought back so many memories. I actually have the DVD, but hadn’t seen it for months, so last night just reminded me of the days on teamnicole.com, and how exciting it was waiting for every piece of information/photograph/trailer etc from the film. This film more than any other made me feel so excited, intrigued, and shocked, it seemed unlike anything I’d ever seen before. And thus began my adventure into the world of Lars von Trier, who not only made me love film, but completely changed my life.

* On Tuesday I went, armed with camera, to a huge park that's not far from my house. I'll put the photos under a cut below, because they're quite big. And very green. Living in a dirty, polluted city such as mine means green-ness is rare, so they're exciting to me, but probably not to anyone else. Plus, I'm not a great photographer...

This one is the same as the previous photo, apart from how the sun was shining so strongly at that moment that it produced a kind of muted effect that I thought was interesting.

Yes, they're quite boring really, but I did have fun taking them :-)
